Why authenticity trumps humility for CEOs

What's the most important trait for a CEO? It's authenticity, One Strategy Group CEO David Meadvin told Fast Company's Stephanie Mehta.

That's especially true, he said, for younger chief executives.

“You need to be comfortable in your own skin; you need to be self-aware enough to know what you don’t know and where you struggle,” he said. “You can work to get better at those things, but often it makes more sense to fill the gaps by finding people who can do them better than you can.”
