Liz Stein, managing director of One Strategy Group, is an award-winning communications executive with a proven track record developing innovative public-facing communications strategies for global companies that build brands, launch talent, and preserve the corporate identities of networks and programming franchises. As part of One Strategy Group’s leadership team, Liz manages a robust client portfolio and plays an operational and leadership role across the firm.
Before joining One Strategy Group, Liz built a consultancy that provided C-suite advisory services as well as all facets of strategic communications leadership. She and her team consistently developed integrated business strategies that drove results and created passionate communities across education, media, technology, and non-profits. Prior to consulting, Liz spent much of her career at world-renowned organizations including Discovery Communications, Hallmark Channel, and National Geographic, and she managed the press for Discovery’s global hits Shark Week, and Planet Earth, to name a few.
An active member in her community, Liz serves on boards including WorldPulse, 1455 Literary Arts, and she is a member of the Education Writers Association and is a volunteer teacher with Emerging Scholars. Liz was honored with WICT’s Touchstone of Leadership Award acknowledging her as “a powerful communicator who embodies conviction and passion – qualities of a great leader.” She was also awarded the John Hendricks Award for Innovation two years in a row.
Liz earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Georgetown University, and a Master of Arts degree from George Washington University.
