Nefertari Carver White is an Executive Vice President at One Strategy Group. She advises CEOs and organizations on media strategy, external positioning, reputational risks, corporate and public affairs, and social impact. Nefertari has more than 20 years of experience working at the intersection of the private sector and civil society, helping leaders as they navigate consequential business decisions.
Nefertari's experience gives her a distinctive perspective on the opportunities and challenges facing leaders in an increasingly interconnected world. Prior to joining One Strategy Group, Nefertari served as Senior Vice President at Laurel Strategies, where she advised Fortune 500 CEOs, global investment firms, technology companies, and leading philanthropic organizations through transformational moments—including CEO transitions, corporate transformations, crisis situations, and major social impact initiatives. Her work has garnered media coverage in top-tier publications and appearances at high-profile global convenings.
Earlier in her career, she held senior leadership roles at the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB), where she led national engagement strategies impacting regulatory licensing boards and advocated for opportunities to expand access to the architectural profession. At AARP's Public Policy Institute, she helped lead a nationwide initiative supported by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation with a particular focus on developing a national coalition of CEOs committed to advancing the role of nurses in health care delivery. These efforts culminated with increased access to care in communities across the United States.
Nefertari began her career at Pepsi Co. where she received formal training in corporate strategy and leadership. She went on to hold positions in Washington, DC working on both Capitol Hill and for a political strategy firm.
Nefertari was born and raised in Detroit, MI. She attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor where she obtained her Bachelors of Arts degree in Political Science; and she later obtained her Masters of Public Administration degree from Villanova University.
